as the weight or realizing that

i won't see autumn leaves this year
i won't get to smell those smells

last year i thought i would die if i missed another fall
and it feels like i am dying inside


does anyone know of good autmn color on this coast? anywhere within a 15 hour drive works...

If I recall correctly, there's some in Marin, just the other side of the Golden Gate Bridge.

If you're looking for a longer trip, this route between SF and Fresno gets pretty colorful in the fall and is only about 3.5 to 4 hours one-way unless it's a holiday weekend:

280 to San Jose, 85 to Gilroy, 152 over Pacheco Pass and through Los Banos, and 99 to Fresno

You're welcome. Sherilyn is from Fresno, so we usually take that drive at Thanksgiving and Christmas and I've always found parts of it to be extremely beautiful, especially in the fall.

oh, sweetie. here's a picture I took last fall, somewhere in northern CA in the mountains on a weekend trip w/ friends. there's lots of fall here, within a 5 hour drive... just gotta go up in elevation to find a lot of it.
