Big Sky Documentary Film Festival Seeks Director
The Big Sky Documentary Film Festival is accepting applications for
the position of Festival Director. The position involves planning,
promoting, and facilitating the annual event (February 16-22),
coordinating sponsorships, grant writing and other fundraising
activities, supervising volunteers, and handling administrative
tasks. Applicants must be available to begin work in Missoula,
Montana no later September 1, 2005. This is a full-time, year-round
position with a seven-month initial commitment. Excellent
communication and organizational skills a must. Knowledge of the
documentary film and video industry will be very helpful. Salary
$18-24k (+ benefits) depending on experience.
Email a resume (.pdf, .doc or email text) and short letter of

Jul. 7th, 2005 04:10 pmwhy is it that everytime i get an email from this $#*@(%&(@ board member i feel pain shoot through my neck and want to jump up and down like yosemite sam?!?! argh he makes me CRAZY.
he just emailed me and told me that he 'found' me a tech person / right hand man for the retreat. never mind that i already hired someone else. and HAVE TOLD HIM that i will find my own person and have a number of people in mind. thank you. goodnight. so now I have to email this very nice guy that he 'found' and un-offer him the job. nice. so #*%($& unprofessional.

no radio for the good child
Jul. 7th, 2005 11:22 pmso the transmitter at piratecat was down. sigh. but instead i had big fun with my co-host and the fabulous borgrrl. barring the road trip to berkely where we were gonna sing violent femmes songs, we ended up seeing a zombie movie that tried too hard and the intestines just... they just didn't look real. but it was fun. later, in the analytic part of the evening pal and i discussed the merits of the grossout murderous rampages of zombies vs the cleaner meaner and somehow more intentional violence of the mid-career work of john woo. yay.
so happy to then get the sexy beast a burrito and come home to love love love. i love coming home after a night being a good kid, going to the movies, throwing popcorn and being scared at a dorky movie.
home to talking about future and work and interviews and what nexts. it's good.
now i must go and rub away the tension from jumping out of my seat for two hours.
