it was just brought to my attention that a private evite that i sent out a few months ago is currently searchable by google. so if you type in a certain name - you get the evite, my friends emails, my home address, phone number etc.

i have sent a notice to their legal team
but be warned

if you send out an evite

all of that info could end up in a google search
even if you marked it to private
even if the evite 'should' have expired
etc.

serious yikes - i am just glad the person who pointed it out to me was a pal and not an icky person calling me at home or something weird...

worst part - it won't let me delete the evite.
i tried and it's still up there on google

I was very proud of the fact that I never, ever got spam e-mails at work address, then one of my co-workers used it for an evite, and I got spam the next day.

can i tell you how little faith i have in them now
i will never use them again
