Forbes says
Don't Marry Career Women

and they EVEN give us a slide show of the misery that ensues if god forbid
you - the heterosexual male that i am assuming is the ONLY intended audience for this piece - deign to make the grievous error of being with a woman who has a career. or her own life. or the desire to ever leave your house and not be completely barefoot, pregnant and financially dependant on you, you glorious straight man you. be careful! don't let those slutty career girls who will always make more money than you and completely emasculate you rope you in.

EDIT: “Should any of you like to contact the %$#$^(%$&@ who wrote this, his contact info is as follows: email: mnoer@forbes.net, direct phone: 212-366-8887”

"To be clear, we're not talking about a high-school dropout minding a cash register. For our purposes, a "career girl" has a university-level (or higher) education, works more than 35 hours a week outside the home and makes more than $30,000 a year."

Woo-hoo! I'm fucking a "career girl".

This has got to be a joke, right? Someone had to have hacked the Forbes site. It's really an Onion article in disguise, right?

Either that or they're desperate to get readers, and this is their way of "shaking things up".

At the end they give lip service to corellation does not equal causation, but they define it incorrectly and it doesn't make up for the exaggeration and extrapolation of a bunch of studies in which the methodology is, as usual, not examined, nor the nuanced nature of the conclusions, let alone whether any of the researchers have any bias. So were taking sociology, not the most rigorous of sciences filtered through journalism looking for stats to support a predetermined conclusion mixed with the usual reporters ignorance of things scientific when needing a good story and volia, a gigantic lying backlash piece.

I could only get through half of that

it's like something you see from the anti-suffrage days, where you think, how closed minded people were then.

among other things, there's that assumed-breeder mentality. if you get married, there WILL be kids.

Not surprised to see it on the internet, but surprised to see it coming from Forbes.
