Flash/Web Designer

Atom Entertainment Inc., publisher of Shockwave.com, AtomFilms.com and other leading entertainment Web sites, is seeking a talented Web Designer with strong Flash animation skills for a contract position. This position will be responsible for designing online advertising, e-mail newsletters, site assets, Web pages, and other digital marketing materials. A successful candidate will have strong graphic design skills and creative vision, with a special emphasis on Flash design and animation. Candidate must also have a demonstrated ability to use their skills to achieve specific business goals (driving traffic, sales, high clickthrough, etc). This position will be based in Atom Entertainment’s San Francisco headquarters.

Responsibilities

Design online advertising units (banners, pop-ups, Flash, etc.)
Design graphics, images, and promotional creative for site assets and e-mail newsletters
Design Web pages and microsites
Design custom pages and promotional advertisements for sponsors and partners
Perform production work (HTML etc) as needed

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years professional Web design experience, preferably within an agency or in-house advertising/marketing department
An outstanding portfolio of past Web marketing projects
An understanding of how various design solutions impact user behavior (example – clickthrough rates)
Thorough knowledge of Flash, Fireworks, Photoshop, and Illustrator, and solid HTML skills
Experience resolving usability issues and working knowledge of design best practices
Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline driven office environment
Strong communication and organizational skills
Appreciation of films and/or games is a plus
BA/BS or equivalent
