I know Sherilyn's had good luck with the Paul Mitchell school. In fact, I'm considering them for my next cut/dye job.
I can do the bleaching and color for you (have done it for Sherilyn before), but I'm not trained to cut hair and not brave enough to try it by the seat of my pants. (The only reason I can't do my own is the length and problem seeing the back. I used to bleach my own hair when I was a blonde, teenaged, hair band groupie, but my back/neck was much healthier then.)
J's been wanting to go very blonde, so maybe you could come over here someday and I could bleach your hair and, once that's done and the dye's on, you could bleach his. (You said you're comfortable bleaching, but not doing roots, right?) I'm comfortable bleaching hair if dye's going to go over it, but not when someone's just going to stay blonde. (Though I did Sherilyn's roots once and it was fine, I just get really nervous.)
Given that I have Crayola-colored hair, I'd be totally comfortable with you using my shower/tub to rinse out whatever Crayola colors you want in your hair. (Though I only have two bath towels, so you'd probably want to bring your own.)
you're awesome - thank you. however i have been through enough hair drama that i don't let friends do my color anymore unless it's touch up. i have some people on here who are professional hair do-ers so was trying to call them out and see if they wanna give it a shot.
schools can work out ok - but it's always a roll of the die. mostly looking for new recs on stylists. i liked my last chick a lot however want to continue mixing it up. my stylist before her told me that if i cheated on her again that i couldn't come back :( so i am ix nayed from glam-a-rama due to my cheatin heart
just haven't found the stylist that 'got' me yet... sigh
you are awesome i just read you're entire website LOVE that you have a portfolio (why doesn't everyone? i don't get it) and am horrified that my pantene made it on the bad products list - wo is me i have to go buy new product STAT!!!!!
November cut is supercute. Hair as it is now is not you, it is a little too long or not long enough. I believe the technical term is "It's in between stages". Cut you want is just horrible. WHO would pay for hair like that??? You are kidding me right?!?!?! Color you want is too light for you, you would be better with a darker color, like a burgundy/dark brunette.
yes i am totally asking for opinions - even if we disagree ;)
i have had the orangey yellow before and it's fun - though i agree i need 'some' dark in there, was going to try to get it with raspberry/black cherry parts
see - i was just so bored with november cut - want something more interesting, cut can't seem to land on the right style since i just keep being drawn to perms....
cn we email to make an appt? i am dying with boring average hair. seriously. i feel like a friggin soccer mom over here
i hate feeling like i have soccer mom hair - there is seriously something about getting a really good haircut.
sounds like you've got a good hookup with Nicky, but also wanted to let you know that I've been to The Salon on Guerrero (right next to Black and Blue Tattoo) and got a really great long layered cut. they're a bit pricey (over $40, i think), but real nice and good.
Well, the cut you want is very similar to the cut you've had, except the hair is curlier...so mainly the difference you're seeing is in the texture, so you can get that if you get a wave, or set it, but unless you blow dry your hair straight in the mornings (which you may), it doesn't seem like she has the same texture.
nope - no blow dry - straight as straight gets - no volume - even if it is set for hours in curlers with heat and product i only get about 3 hours of curl before the straight wins again... this is why i covet the curly texture hair. or just something to be more... fun.

Date: 2006-04-12 08:52 pm (UTC)You have really good hair to work with, you should have no problem finding inspiration when you talk to a good stylist.
And I am glad I am not the only one that didn't like the crack head do.

THe color though, now that would look excellent. Especially if you put in some dark cherry streaks/highlights.
I'm with
As it were.
