1. How did you end up in San Francisco?
well, i wanted to move to NYC, and my boyfriend convinced me that i would like SF and be more likely to find dykes to date in SF. so when hunting for college internships, the one in SF at on our backs is the one that came through. i enjoyed my summer fling with SF (though no girl flings were had :( ) and after school, when i landed the second worst job ever at the office manager for DM International in Phoenix, i knew i had to leave, and SF was a one day drive away. tada. here i am :)
2. How did you meet muy_macha?
we worked at different film fests in the same building. she has to come to our office and ask for a film. i was apparently cranky. but that's standard for me when i am an admin asst. she stuck around and talked to me anyway... thus the spark was born
3. What is your favorite silent film?
from morn to midnight. a surreal german film that was long lost, and rediscovered only in the last five years
4. How did you get interested in the 1920's?
not really sure - the aesthetic and louise brooks always drew me... it was probably cemented when i had cable briefly and could watch turner classic movies and all of the biographies on sexy strong silent film stars they screen
5. What is your favorite (semi-)secret getaway?
fife's ranch in guerneville. i camped there once for a peaches christ thing, arrived at night, and when i woke up and went outside, it was fall. like REAL FALL. wow. not so secret, but i love it.
