so things with McKenzie (my niece) are not actually fine after all.
the best case scenario is that they remove half of her left lung.
tests are still being done.

of course in talking to my mom, there are a million other impacts of things not being ok. my sister in law hasn't left her bedroom since last thursday with panic attacks. so all of the 'holding the family together' 'making things seem normal for all four kids' piece of it is falling on my brother alone...

oy.

plus, you know, everything else going on... not an easy week.
