after a super crappy day that ended not with working 9.5 hours. not with  bad muni luck getting to the Queer Cultural Center public forum. but with a commute home on muni that lasted... wait for it... 75 minutes. this is for what takes 13mins during commute times. this is for what takes 10mins to drive. fuck doesn't even start to cover it.

on muni i was checking my email on my phone (b/c i mean - 75 minutes... COMEON)
and i got an email
that i never thought i would see
it made me so happy
and a really really old wound that aches and echoes all of the time
started healing

another light turned on in my chest.
i wanted to get up and do a little dance.
when i did get home
kids were blowing illegal fireworks off over the roofs behind the post office
the night is celebrating
