six happy things meme

emchyi was tagged by susannocha - i won't tag you - but i will tell you that hearing your happy things makes me... well.. happy :)
1. buying an accordion. yes i just bought a free of mold accordion that i am paying in installments and i am fully squee about it.
2. my first accordion lesson. i am learning the bass chords first so i can practice with my loaner until the new girl comes home in february.
3. dandelion & burdock soda. it's my total indulgence and i love it. every week when i buy groceries it's the one treat i allow myself for being practical in all other grocery matters. this soda means that cindy is worth a treat. the taste is like dreams and waltzes in my mouth. it's like the best hug from an old friend. it's amazing. i love it. and maybe i love it more because i bought it as an experiment that i expected to just taste odd and instead it tastes like love.
4. a house with heat. this is my first house with actual real heat after 10+ years in the bay area. on a cold and rainy night there is nothing better.
5. my pillows. i have five pillows that i sleep with. just before i am ready for bed i fluff all of them and let my head be surrounded by soft and firm supporty pillows. then of course i readjust and shove a bunch out of the way so i can actually sleep. but i heart pillows.
6. my first year of college towel. my mom bought me this huge bath sheet towel in 1992. it was huge. she got it because in my dorm it was all community showers and she wanted me to feel comfortable. it's still my favorite towel. it's less fluffy now and has hair dye stins from the 15 years of living with me. but i love it. when i look at it i remember the day my mom bought it. how proud she was of her daughter with the scholarship moving on to college and starting life. my choices since she doesn't always get. she tries but the pride is fewer and far between. but that day - she was so happy to call me hers. so that's always my favorite towel and it makes me HELLA happy.
