Hey All
Next Friday Oct 26th the new and improved super awesome Queer Open Mic is happening. And for the 2nd time in our humble history the whole dang show is a BENEFIT! Woot!

Featuring the immensely talented and always charming Charlie Anders. Mollena and I will be passing the hat to help raise money for the Pete and Colleen Fund. Two important members of our queer san francisco community - Pete and Colleen just lost just about everything they had in the world to an apartment fire. Now any arsty, queer, lefty, social justicey, non-profit, co-op loving san franciscan - heck essentially anyone who rents an apartment in SF can understand why - when things like this happen to people in our community - we should step up and lend a hand.

And this time you can step up and lend a hand just by listening to some awesome queer lit. What a deal!

So put on your helpful hats, bring an extra few bucks to donate - and we'll see you at Queer Open Mic this Friday - Oct 26th.

Charlie Anders is a dwarf cactus. She wrote a novel, Choir Boy, and co-edited the anthology She's Such A Geek. She publishes other magazine and organizes the Writers With Drinks reading series. Her writing has appeared in McSweeneys.net, Mother Jones, Salon.com, the SF Chronicle, the SF Bay Guardian, Pindeldyboz, ZYZZYVA, Watchword and a bunch of anthologies. She has stuff forthcoming in Sex For America, Fucking Daphne and the MonkeyBicycle humor anthology.
