feeling better - need more coffee
today at least it is sunny and there are good things happening in the day and work might even be a little busy and (maybe it is just because I went grocery shopping) i have more balance or perspective on life today.

a little sad because today begins a three day run where i will probably not see the lady for more than 15 minutes a day. both so busy busy busy. it always makes me a little sad when she can't make the open mic, but film festivals must go on...

last night on my way to drop off some keys i bought a buncha groceries at the mission safeway. reminder - pointy shoes and lo rise pants attract attention when late night grocery shopping. i also attracted some blisters and had to hobble home with my many pounds of groceries. an excuse to drive barefoot though which i always love.

the new haircut is definately fun - but i am getting more unwanted attention than i used to. much like when i first dropped about 40 lbs and bought some new clothes that fit - and i suddenly remembered what reaction certain clothes would get - dealable but not so much fun.

well there that is again. got tailed for a bit after leaving dalva to get to the car, and cat called a little, and lemme say, being cat called in a semi dark alley near 16th st is really not so happy making. but i can take care of myself and it was fine in the end

Sherilyn has at rehearsals for TVM every night this week right after work, so I've only seen her in the mornings. I won't really get to see her for more than an hour until Saturday. We do talk throughout the day on IM, though last night right before I left work we had a fight which made me sadder than they usually do because it was going to be my last communication with her for the day.

I won't be able to make the open mic this Friday 'cause my hair is getting a much needed touch up, but I'm going to try my damndest to make it to the one in two weeks AND have a piece to read.

originally kegger was going to share the air time but obligations called - i'll have fun tho - i used to do a show for years at my college station and i am good at amusing myself

yay! for hair fun - and i am excited to see you read next time

and whoa - the fights as last communication - so hard, that just sends the mind to spinning for me. the lady is so busy these days at work that we have instituted a vague ban on daytime chatting, because she gets distracted and sounds terse when she isn't and i am sensitive to that kinda thing and no one likes to process in the middle of a work day

Hrm. Tonight is the dress rehearsal with an actual audience, so the performers are actually supposed to be there by 5:30 tonight because the show starts at 7. Sherilyn's going to give Lynnee a call.

Yeah, I was really down last night, still am today. Sherilyn and I try not to process over IM, but sometimes it's like stepping in a puddle that you don't know is there until you're ankle-deep in water.

the im thing is really hard. did i tell you how when i was getting divorced my ex kept sending me long long heart ripping letters over the office fax? so not only hard and pain and awful - but in his own handwriting - made it all the worse

the lady and i used to misunderstand each other through im all the time - we switched to phone only to avoid the drama

LJ saves the day! I called and left Lynnee a message on his cell phone since Sherilyn doesn't actually have a phone at her desk. It probably wasn't as brief as his outgoing message stresses messages should be. I'm tempted to call back and leave another message saying, "Yeah, I know, that wasn't brief, but this is ME we're talking about." But knowing my luck he'd answer and then I'd feel like I bugged him when he was busy.

You did, and ug. The only time my ex sent me roses was after I'd left him and he was trying to woo me back. It was a dozen and it tore me up. Made all the more difficult by the fact that I sat in the main office so people commented on them all day long.
