PSST - if you need plans tonight
Apr. 27th, 2007 04:18 pmQUEER OPEN MICALICIOUS
For our big Walpurgisnacht show this Friday (4/27/07), Cindy Emch and Sherily Connelly
welcome The Reverend Steven Johnson Leyba to the Queer Open Mic.
Hismixed media canvases contain everything from oil paint and traditional
tribal beadwork to his own blood and body fluid, and his work has ruffled
more than a few feathers. He will display recent artwork and read from
his memoir, "The Last American Painter."
Expect lots of references to fluids and naughty bits, mostly his own, and be sure to bring your own
stuff to read in the open mic.
Three Dollar Bill Cafe (in the LGBT
Center), 1800 Market, Friday 4/27/07, signup at 7:30, show 8, all ages,
$1-5, donations benefit Bitch Magazine and the artist. No one turned away
for lack of funds. Whisky bottles optional.
