emchyprotesters shut down market st @ montgomery around 2pm
it did not look like the cops were planning to escalate
also heard one of the bands marching towards mont / market
decent size crowd of a few hundred were gathering

In San Francisco, people will gather for die-ins on Monday, March 19th at 12pm at Federal Reserve Building (Spear and Market), at Montgomery and Market, Powell and Market, and UN Plaza. A Stop Funding the War in Iraq rally will take place on March 19th at 12 noon in front of Nancy Pelosi's San Francisco district office. Protesters will urge her and her fellow Representatives to deny any war funding request from Bush, and to support HR 508, The Bring Our Troops Home and Sovereignty of Iraq Restoration Act.
