It is quite beautiful through my eyes. Certainly, there are some hideous things that pass for art (functional or not) that sell for much, much more.
I'm sure it took her a long time to design and make this bed and the materials aren't cheap either. I know it sucks when I can't afford stuff I want, but one can always visit it at open studios (probably this month with the holidays) and treat it like visiting a museum.
