I used to love him, haven't listened in years. I would always feel very creative when his music was playing...would put me in an interesting mindset.
I remember seeing him grumbling and annoyed at, what must have been, his whining pre-teen child at the Enterprise rent-a-car on Hollywood Blvd. one year. I was kind of funny and kind of a fall from the pedestal.
Also, I always thought he and Ricky Lee Jones should have babies. They didn't, did they?
no they didn't - and their pal chuck e weiss disappeared about a year ago... i woulda loved to see him all annoyed at his kid - they both are playing on his new orphans box set coming out later this month
I feel smug: that if someone did the tracklist up as a LJ meme ("bold the ones you've heard, asterisk the ones you like") I'd have a respectable number of tracks bolded and asterisked.
