i had a shaved head and a siouxsie shirt. i had just been dropped off on another planet, a tiny town filled with malicious rednecks and backward-pant wearing jocks. in the three or so days i had been going to school there i had already experienced hostility and ridicule and even violence. i was scared. then one happy day i turned the corner and saw you sitting in the hallway. you invited me to the circle and i finally came home.
