Web Developer – Contract Position
Atom Entertainment Inc. is seeking a talented Web Developer knowledgeable in web application design and development. In this position, you'll be responsible for day-to-day production work for site content, site updates and new section build-outs. We are looking for someone with a combination of strong HTML / XML abilities, technical savvy with great attention to detail. This is an opportunity to have your work seen by the 30+ million people who visit www.shockwave.com, www.atomfilms.com, www.addictinggames.com & www.addictingclips.com web sites each month. This position will be based in Atom Entertainment’s downtown San Francisco offices.
Responsibilities
- Construct web pages/sites from flat design templates (PhotoShop files).
- Perform significant amounts of Web production work optimizing for download efficiency and clean design –creating and testing site templates, resizing and cropping images for build outs etc.
Qualifications
- Ability to quickly develop solid, robust front-end display code including but not limited to HTML (hand-coding), CSS, XHTML, DHTML and JavaScripting (Dreamweaver/Go-Live coders need not apply). Experience with XML, RSS, and JSP a plus.
- Basic Photoshop skills required, design/flash skills are a plus.
- Familiarity with versioning management systems such as SVN/CVS.
- Thorough knowledge of and adherence to web and search engine optimization standards, compliance, browser / platform compatibility and accessibility.
- Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality work under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills and excellent time management.
- BA/BS or equivalent. Minimum 2+ years professional Web production experience.
