Hey Everyone
It's June - the month of all the best most fun and completely exhausting because there is just too much to do - arts events, film screenings, friends in from out of town, etc etc. Turns out it's also the month when wires get crossed and it can be hard to know what's going on until the days after, and then there is that frustrated slapping of the forehead and DAMN i wish i had gone to that thing sort of experience.

Well have no fear. I am here to help :)
Turns out the SFBG printed an incorrect event listing for the Queer Arts Fest, and their program was late since their designer got hit by a UPS truck. So I am including the what's up for the Fest for the next week in this post- in addition to the what is emchy up to stuff. If you can pass it on please do. It's important, right? Art is important. :)

So for moi
QUEER OPEN MIC is TOMORROW!!! Woot Woot!!! Come see me and Sherilyn hosty host with the fabulous Meliza Bañales featuring!!! Rumors about that you may also see Sini Anderson of Sister Spit fame do an excerpt from the Brand New Highway Show, Frances Varian just might give you a sneak preview of her July feature performance, my semi alter ego emchy is gonna share some words if there is time and more and more. so come on over 7:30 sigh up, 8pm performances @ the $3 Bill Cafe - 1800 Market

then on SAT I am performing at the Dyke March Benefit @ El Rio (Mission just past Cesar Chavez). Lots of awesome people performing, starts 6ish. Please come.

I'm sorry I have to be heterosexual that night and go see The Husbands. It's their record release party and I promised ages ago.

Glad to see you're doing your part for Banales Month.

ha. You know, I half wrote, but never posted, an entry a few years ago about how sad and heterosexual I felt when I went to see the husbands on the Saturday before Pride once. It was like the straightest punk show I've ever been to in the city because of the timing. ;)
