OtherDANCE is a new dance/perf/install/film festival for the Bay Area. OtherDANCE uses the body and presence as medium, makes acquaintance with technologies, includes the options of audience and performer overlap, and installs dance – as an object of art, into these gallery settings. OtherDANCE is the first two Saturdays in May. OtherDANCE takes place at Warehouse 1310 (May 6) & Lobot Gallery (May 13). Choreographers/dancers all herald from the sister cities of SF, Oakland and NYC.
