Video Product Manager
Atom Entertainment, publisher of AtomFilms, Shockwave.com, and other leading broadband entertainment sites, is seeking a product manager to grow a new business in the user-generated-video category. This position will be responsible for all aspects of the business -- growing site traffic and usage, collaborating with Ad Sales to maximize revenue, and managing a product roadmap outlining new features and functionality. The ideal candidate will be an online media veteran who is passionate about entertainment, creative, analytical, detail-oriented, and adept at working with cross-functional teams to achieve success.
Responsibilities
Manage a new user-generated-video site that enables consumers to upload and share video online. Build toward aggressive traffic, content, and revenue goals.
• Plan and execute promotions, partnerships, and marketing activities that increase traffic and site usage
• Manage online community activity, fostering positive audience growth and site usage
• Track and report on key business metrics and user behavior patterns to drive product design decisions
• Manage the product roadmap, evaluating and prioritizing new features and functionality
• Coordinate with technology team to support existing functionality and introduce new features
• Coordinate with ad sales to maximize revenue opportunities
• Work with other teams within the company to leverage integration opportunities within Atom Entertainment’s network of entertainment sites.
• Monitor and report on competitors
Qualifications
• Minimum 4 years experience in product management, content management, and/or online marketing for online media services
• Analytical and quantitative, capable of analyzing usage statistics and modeling future business activity and trends
• Creative – able to effectively communicate with entertainment consumers, content creators, and advertisers
• Appreciation for online video entertainment, and understanding of the competitive landscape in the online video industry
