But that link was the most overhyped thing I've seen in awhile, even on the internet. I'm not unsympathetic, but if one doesn't want a visit from the Secret Service, one only has to not write about killing the president. It has nothing to do with the impending fascism or the erosion of civl liberties.
In fact, if she had gotten turned in for saying the same thing she wrote in the '50s she might have actually been arrested as a Red instead of just drinking coffee and chatting with some cops. One could argue that's a sign of progress.
