so we went with borggrrl yesterday to a tree ranch just off the ocean to chop down a tree ourselves, with a saw and everything.. coolest part, if you leave a branch on the trunk, it grow back up into a tree, so we didn't even kill it!!! wonderful.


borggrrl took some pics, more to come but check it out included is a pic of the homestead and the classy way that i made the holidays throw up on the house last thing, i got to make a wreath, they made it easier then how i made them as a kid, when mom and i would go out into the woods and cut our own boughs and make 5 wreaths for the house and the relatives, but it was still WAY fun

THat so rocks!!!

I want a real tree but the housemate isn't too keen on it so we might go with some sort of modern glowy thing instead. Don't know yet. My mom comes into town Wednesday (squeeee!) for a week and part of the agenda is going out shopping for a tree, ornaments and lights. I have two street facing windows and we're gonna put lights on them.
