as you may know - i am heading to portland i have only books for guides and want to find the rad, poetry, artsy, queer, cool shit this may seem obvious, but it actually didn't work out so well last time
if you like zines go to Reading Frenzy, it's right near Powell's.It's right up there with Quimby's and Atomic Books as one of the best zine stores around, though it's smaller than either of those.
If you want a nice fancy-ish but not too pricey (by SF standards)veggie meal go to my friend's restaraunt. It's called The Farm. but go early unless you wanna wait.
oh, careful with g-friend at the bars and cafes! They still smoke up there. I was gonna recommend a tiki/karaoke place but it's very smokey.
I like the Red and Black Cafe for hanging out in.
The one lesbo bar is called like The Egyptian or Cleopatra's or something like that.
Portland is slow-paced. mostly I hang out with friends in their houses there.
