can someone buy me coffee? and i mean a cup would be great. but really i am talking like a coffee iv drip. or unlimited refills. or hell, just replace my blood with coffee. that's what i really want. pleeze?

on a more somber note, the more i think about the bullshit homophobic assholes at my high school, and i mean currently, not in some past memory sort of way, the angrier i am. the more i want to get this story some media attention and be like, oh yea? you wanna fuck with kids who are protesting the anti gay graffitti? you think you can just suspend them quietly and no one will care? well maybe some years ago. maybe when you same small minded assholes burned a cross on my neighbors lawn in 1979 it only made the local paper. but you know what? us marginalized people that think your bigotry is WRONG have connections. we know people who know people. and some of those people write for papers. some of those people write for websites and report for npr and work for glsen and the aclu and and and

i want to bring a shit storm down on these assholes. for the hateful crap they did when i was a kid. for the hateful crap they do now. howell was always on the map as a place of hate. hell i even got the icy stare about it in reno once. fuck these jerks, they don't get to do this anymore.

so that's what my mind is about today. as a follow up to the article that final_girl posted yesterday. it looks to me like the tide is turning back to assholes running free with idiocy and hatred. not that it ever turned very far away from that. i guess i was just living in a pollyanna bubble for a little too long.

This should be a really interesting discussion, not to mention good performances...

TransForming Community
time: 7:30pm -
room: Rainbow Room

Desc: Curated by Michelle Tea
June 9-11 & 23, 7:30pm
Tickets: Free
Reservations & Info: (415) 864-4124 or www.queerculturalcenter.org

TransForming Community explores the friction at the intersection of
contemporary trans and queer communities. With a burgeoning
transsexual community growing in tandem with a genderqueer movement,
what are the issues that arise when non-trans queers share cultural
space with transpeople and genderqueers? With distinctly different
needs and identities, what needs to be worked out between the
transsexual and genderqueer communities?

An extensive question and answer session follows each performance.
TransForming Community features some of the most talented and talked-
about contemporary queer literary and performance artists reading
their work: Lynn Breedlove, Thea Hillman, Katastrophe, Julia Serano,
Michelle Tea, Max Wolf Valerio, Marcus Rene Van, and Shawna Virago.
