a little bit of tenderness
Mar. 11th, 2005 08:28 amso so much in the last 12 hours, and yet, everything is the same. the radio show was omigod fun last night - thanx to those that listened - yes it is true, we did play judy garland and ministry in the same set (dinghy) and we went off on a few good rants (ball) overall it was grand fun. however technological problems hounded me with ripping it at home.
i use stream ripper to grab the show, then chop it up into 75 minute sections and burn it onto cd. for some reason stream ripper wont give me more than 3 hours. so the first 1/2 of the show got run over by the 20 minutes of lab cat while i fought traffic to get home and stop the ripping. problem #2 - the mp3 was over 70mb of fun - which made the computer start up disk too full to really open and chop the file. i juggled things around, deleted old files to free up more room, and thought i had it perfect - making on mistake. when i though i had the 2 section of the show set - before double checking, i closed the audio editing program, which was the only place the complete file lived since i had had to delete the original in order to be able to save the shorter burnable versions. well - this means i lost the second half of the show. such a good show with music i want to hear again and instead of 75 minutes per disk, it's 75 on one and 19 on the other. SO CRANKY MAKING. so i am putting it out there. IF someone knows of better mac stream ripping software that streamripper where it won't loop back around after 3 hours or IF someone can rip it at their home while the show is on and burn it to disks (which i can provide) omigod it would be so amazing.
post show i went to the opening gala for the asian american film fest. was good - good music. saw mike patton there. *swoon* i love seeing people that make art i love so much. i just look and wonder how all that avant garde interesting quirky thrilling stuff comes out of that one mind. i love it.
today is day one or maybe day .5 of the new job and then the open mic - YAY! open mic. YAY! new job. and the weather is staying nice - maybe i will meet up with the pals later and see if i can tag along on their dog walk before going into the office - i am sure lucky could use some play pals
