Hey Local Bay Area folks

Heads up -

in this weeks Bay Area Reporter is a sum-up article about the open mic on 9/24 with the fabulous [livejournal.com profile] final_girl  as feature (it's in the calen-dare section)

and if that weren't enough

the Bay Times put a photo of [livejournal.com profile] final_girl , myself and the "cafe dreamhunk" in as well

good times

at work again
one of those days in my favorite falling apart jeans
big baggy t-shirt and oversized black sweater
it's like a listless grey winter day in michigan
where it feels good to be in class - warm and interacting with people
because if you had stayed home sick
since you don't feel good
you would just get stir crazy and mad at yourself for watching the court shows, dating shows, and trashy talk shows
so its good
because my office mate put on dean martin
and i work in a victorian where i can look out at market street
and feel warm and cozy
even if i wish i was home in bed
this is still pretty ok

true sign of illness
i just bought as chamomile tea instead of coffee
now that
is crazy

really though
there has been a big project pending all week and the stress from it
has me feeling pretty invisible in my own life
it's just been work work work
regardless of office or home status
my part in it is finally done i think
and so it should get better]
but the stress has moved into my neck
and the throbbing woke me up
and hasn't gone away

let's hope the chamomile
and smooth deano can make it better

crying in the office kitchen
as the weight or realizing that

i won't see autumn leaves this year
i won't get to smell those smells

last year i thought i would die if i missed another fall
and it feels like i am dying inside

does anyone know of good autmn color on this coast? anywhere within a 15 hour drive works...
