HEALTHWORKER PROGRAM MANAGER
Non-profit, lesbian-friendly sperm bank located in downtown Berkeley seeks
an experienced program manager to join our management team. The ideal
candidate has the required skills and experience listed below and is looking
for a full-time, long-term position in an engaging and supportive work
environment.
This position requires someone who has excellent interpersonal skills, is
exceptionally detail oriented, and enjoys multi-tasking in a busy office
environment. Must find professional satisfaction working in a fast-paced,
demanding and rewarding job, and work well in a team environment.
Primary duties for the Healthworker Program Manager include day-to-day
management of the Healthworker team (3 staff) who provide health & fertility
education, customer service & sales (mostly by phone), scheduling
appointments, invoicing sales, interviewing sperm donors, and other
administrative or healthcare duties as assigned. The Healthworker Program
Manager is a working manager who must balance staff supervision and
training, administrative duties, and general Healthworker responsibilities.
The Healthworker Program Manager develops and maintains workflows and
protocols, is the first line of management for client complaints, and works
collaboratively with the Executive Director and other management staff to
continually improve daily operations.
Strong candidates must have the following:
. 2+ years management experience, ideally in a telephone and/or
healthcare setting, including training new staff.
. Health education experience is required, women's health experience
and knowledge strongly preferred.
. Excellent customer service skills.
. Strong computer skills, including database experience. Must be
comfortable learning new programs and working with multiple programs
simultaneously.
. Clear verbal and written communication skills.
. College degree required. Master's degree in related field (such as
health education, public health, social work, or management) or nursing
degree is preferred, though significant related work experience many
substitute for advanced degree.
Applicants with experience in women's health, fertility services and/or
reproductive health are especially encouraged to apply. Experience working
in a busy clinic or medical office or other fast-paced industry such as the
restaurant industry or sales is highly preferred. Pay range: $25 to $32 per
hour, depending on experience plus excellent benefits. We are an equal
