Ah, okay. Thanks. I knew they'd asked them to stop using the song and pretty much received "You don't own the rights so you can't make us" in response, and I think they *are* donating the royalties to Obama's campaign, but this seemed a little to extreme to be true. Hella funny, though.

i actually think its real. there is a hollywood reporteer article too. the republicans didn't stop using the music when they asked nice and now i think heart is just pissed.

Interesting - the Bush, Sr. campaign stopped using "Don't Worry Be Happy" when Bobby McFerrin asked them to stop. Sad that Heart doesn't get the same consideration (or that the GOP has grown less conscientious).
