dog friendly day trip ideas?

so this weekend we were supposed to go to lake berryessa and burn off all of the residual ick and fog with copious amounts of sun and lake. well the whole fucking thing is closed while the gov't turns it from private to public recreational land use. meaning it's out of commission for camping for what is likely to be years. still need to get the fuck out of didge though and my desperation is sucking the imagination dry - any ideas?

if you are into more "primitive camping" there are plenty of places to camp at lake berryessa that are not on the radar. I've gone up there a few times, pulled over on the road and hiked down to the lake to camp without ever seeing anyone but local fisherman.
