Production Assistant / Junior Copywriter (contract)

 

AtomFilms, a division of MTV Networks, is seeking a contract employee to write copy and assist in the promotion and publishing of content. This position is based at Atom’s downtown San Francisco offices.

 

• Start Date: Monday March 10
• Project Length: 8 weeks (may extend)
• Hours: 20-40 hours per week

 

Responsibilities:

• Write copy for publication on the Atom website
• Schedule when and where content is promoted on the Atom website
• Use content publishing tools to ensure that content, information and creative assets are presented on the Atom website on schedule
• Assist in the distribution of content to Atom partners
• Support Atom’s editor and project management team on various projects

 

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years professional experience in similar roles with Internet content and/or community websites
• Strong copywriter / proofreader able to write concisely, crisply and – most importantly – with a strong sense of humor relative to Atom's comedic video content. (Please demonstrate via published clips/samples.)
• Organized, hard-working, deadline-driven
• Experience entering data using web forms and databases
• Comfortable with Word and Excel
• Web project management and QA experience is a plus
