working from home

and heading to the vet soon
lucky dog tore off her dew claw
and while that might only sound moderately gross
there is a bloody stub where her little dog thumb used to be
ICK!!!!!

OMIGOD

so i am home - the calvary is arriving soon since i can't lift the dog and it doesn't seem like she should walk on it

it's one of those things where
a torn nail - you can overreact
a ripped off nail with stub - i fear under reacting and then having to deal with the repurcussions. Would rather have Dr. Rau roll her eyes at me then to have lots of other complications...

and in cat news
they hate their new food - which means i haven't gotten a decent nights sleep since Saturday.

This happened to one of my dogs once. Painful, but after a week or so of having the paw bandaged and taking antibiotics, he was fine. Don't worry!

put the life og the party collar on her so she can't reinjure and it looks all good :)

turns out this whole dew claw thing always looks worse than it is... i put the lampshade collar on her so now not only can she not chew on her paw - she's the life of the party
