emchyi have barely left the house since the shindig at the pals on friday
i missed ont one, not two, but FOUR parties that REALLY EFFING MATTERED to me last night
and now the wind is so hard that a shingle blew off of the roof across the street and i nailed blankets up onver our sliding door to keep the drafts out because even the oven and the space heater weren't helping with the cold.
ugh. and today errands have to be run.
yes this is called a whilny post by me who let friends down last night
but still
ugh.
in other news, i finally got nbc to almost come in on the rabbit ears and see the genius that is tina fey on SNL's weekend update. booya. kill the boys club. it was fierce mary fierce.
today i got an email from someone i have known for a year thanking me for being their friend. it wasn't effusive, pretty bare bones. i wanted more. but then again, it's funny to see how much can change in a year. it feels like i have known them, considered them family for ever.
now into the kitchen, where fleetwood mac is playing and coffee is being brewed...
