Nov 11: Jennifer Fox Bennett
In addition to setting things on fire with a magnifying glass and performing dissections with a razor tongue, Jennifer Fox Bennett really enjoys raking complacent muck with a big fat spoon of glee. She may or may not grow out of it someday. Jennifer is an Ojibway and Odawa Band member of the Wikwemikong Unceded Indian Reserve on the ethereal Manitoulin Island in Ontario, Canada. She has been published in anthologies, RESIST! (AK Press Inc.), Pinpoints; zines (Third Space; They Called Her A Firebrand); and literary magazines (Other; Atlantis) in both Canada and the U.S. Her first chapbook, Left to Shatter, by Monkey Book Press is, sad to say, currently out-of-print but may be resurrected in the near future. She co-hosts the Native American Cultural Center's monthly spoken word series in San Francisco with Cherokee writer, Kim Shuck. Jennifer received her B.S. from Cornell University.
