(no subject)

so tomorrow i start prednisone to get the swelling down. for all intents and purposes i am kinda normal - except i can't hear out of one ear very well and the sound of applause if painful. not so bad unless you're at a sold out shorts screening where people applaud at the beginning and end of every film. solution - cover my ear and i am a-ok! the film fest has been cool so far. a lot like being back with old family. today at fun in boys shorts i saw two great films and then realized i knew the filmmaker. i had been a huge supporter of his first film back about six years ago. times change and he is so so so good. his name is pat mills. watch for him. amazing filmmaker.

of course all of this film fest stuff is work too. under assignment to spread the word and blog as much of it as possible. nice work if you can get it right?

tonight is the tawdry party in the crazy rich house in the upper castro. vodka, homos and hot tubs... hmmmm often chaos does indeed ensue. we're likely making an appearance there and then heading to a smaller affair to celebrate my original gay boyfriends boyfriends birthday. wheee for extended family.
