Drinkin red ginger limeade in a beach studio apt in Bolinas. Rooster is squeezing two more minutes of nap in before we head out to a seekrit candlelit in a barn accordion show about an hour away in Santa Rosa.

We got into Bolinas last night and Lucky is loving the beach like a crazy dog.

Today we went into Fairfax and saw Sex in the City in the old local movie theater and then bought some tasty groceries from the healthy people store.  The big win there - fresh beet, celery and carrot juice that had been bottled that morning. Tasted like heaven. Driving back to the studio the light was comin through the redwoods and the air smelled like fennel and basil. It's kinda a dream out here. I love West Marin. Always have. Small towns and unpretentious people with lots of farms and redwoods. Lots of levis and very few Guatemalan 100% dye free hemp pants if you know what I mean.

It's a place I would like to live. For reals. Sigh. Even with normal people living here the prices for houses actually for sale are just crazy. Visiting is good though. The place we're staying is right off the water and affordable enough. The people have parrots in their front yard. So charming.

There is a place in the downtown called the grand hotel which is mostly a used bookstore where back in the day the beats used to stay when they got out of the city. [profile] rain_and_rivers i was thinking we should stay here next time you visit.

I love this town. I wish I didn't have to come back. I heart my life and my pals but I wish it could all be out here too. The ocean and the sky and the redwoods just fill me with dreaming. I needed to be full of dreaming after the harsh of these past week weeks / months. I am hoping I reset the clock the weekend. That's my ideal.
