i am up with the house to myself. but the accordion is in the trunk which is 2 blocks away and i am restless. i need to make breakfast and plan some stuff out but instead i just want to sit in the park and play my little squeezebox. i wonder if i dressed and ate fast if i could make it to the park before parking is evil. i wish i could bring the dog - but she can't come to my noon appt, and so... i don't want to leave her in the car b/c the weather is too nice. she may come with me to k'v though. lucky loves the poems.

some days - especially sundays - are funny. so i didn't go to the park and squeezebox. instead i went to the mall. wait now - before you get all weird about it - that's really only the beginning of the story. so i went to the mall and bought a tank top. wahoo - i am living large. and then headed to black heart tattoo for the consult. punchline of that. i didnt realize my consult was an appt. i thought it was a period of time on sundays when consults happened. bad communication. ok well - thankfully i was only 6 mins late for my consult. which then took 10 mins. tattoo is planned. now since the place is right next to zeitgeist i decided hell - [personal profile] gordonzola  likes to meet me at zeit for beer. so i had texted him earlier to see if he wanted to. he is one of my favorite zeit pals and yay he was up for it. but because the consult wasn't first come first serve and was pretty quick - i was there early. got my bloody mary. sat down and huzzah is that cribbage i hear next to me at the table? what commenced involved a lot of cribbage, crashing a bday party, a lot of bloody marys and something close to a sunburn. still plannin on k'v after some food. woot. best sunday in a while. here are pics of me, [personal profile] gordonzola and hillary - who was turning 30 and likes to play cribbage.

so if you know me in real life you likely know this already
but i grew up with a politics is private sort of policy
rooster - my wife is a politics junkie. super informed. big student of history. and for most folks if they bother to ask - she can school you in the last few decades of politics. if you too are a politics junkie - you'll at least have some fun history conversations.

i pay attention to politics. have some strong feelings. but often am not a big fan of sharing them. i have good reasons but tend to get tripped up in conversations and then feel kinda dumb. not my favorite place to be. but around politics and history more than anywhere else i doubt my own knowledge (though not my convictions) of what has come before and what exact places everyone stands.

all that to say - it's not likely you'll find me making big declarations here one way or another. i will vote for the democrat that gets the nomination for president and support who it is - though i have my favorite - i think both frontrunners will do a good job. i hope that the fans of both frontrunners do their own factchecking about the many bits of info going around the net as i've already found a few things to be totally fabricated on both sides - which honestly - made me really sad.

ok - i am usually so outspoken - for some reason i just felt like i needed to get that out there.
