The infamous and always impressive Ali Liebegott is featuring at Queer Open Mic and bringing a brand new chapbook just for the occasion! Winner of the Lambda Literary Award for her book The Beautifully Worthless, author of the totally rockin novel The IHOP Papers, as well as a contributor to the new anthology It’s So You: 35 Women on Fashion (edited by Michelle Tea) Ali will help you dream dreams and discover the warm fuzzy nostalgia of your imagined youth. Her work has been described by Eileen Myles as “an outrageous act of kindness.” Do yourself a favor and come on down to the Queer Open Mic and get your heart all warmed up for the chilly fog laden days ahead.

 

Queer Open Mic is hosted by Cindy Emch and Mollena Williams. They consider it a pretty awesome holiday gift when you come and share your work. Come on over – say howdy and let’s toast a hot chocolate (or a cold beer) together over some art.
