i can see the sun setting over the ocean - a ship is moving slowly from the right side of my living room window to the left side where soon it will hide behind the apt building across the street that blocks a 'complete' ocean view. it is gorgeous. my house is filled with the anticipation of take out and vague satisfaction from a day with a lot of work done... but not quite enough... though it felt like quite a lot there is always more. soon i leave to go host the open mic. i have new hair color and it is awesome. i found my red eye shadow - also awesome. something is wrong with me that with all of this gorgeous and awesome all i can think about is

WHERE THE FUCK ARE MY CHECKS

because i cannot find them and i am pissed about it.

i need to learn to love the moment somehow.
this moment wants checks.
