1. my chapbooks can mostly be found just by asking me. femina potens used to have some but i believe they sold out.

2. i wrote my first poem when i was seven and waiting in a dentists office. it was a meditation on pain, fear and unicorns are the protectors of sacred(and painfree) magical space

3. a poem is never satisfied with being done. they frequently rewrite themselves even as they leave the poets lips - sometimes by words changing, sometimes just the nuances in tone. i let mine be once they are done enough to stop nagging me for more attention every five minutes.

it's one of those afternoons where the sad just came and slapped me in the face
and not in a totally bad way
but i am thinking of people i have lost
nostalgia
melancholy
and how much trust we put in each others fragile little shells
how delicate hearts and egos and faith can be
how much love it takes
to keep a life alive
to keep it from becoming dulled and hopeless and despondent
what it takes to keep treasures from convincing themselves into trash

we aren't unwanted
none of us are
sometimes
it just has to feel that way

"i'm so tired i could cry"
"there's a tear in my beer cuz i am not sleeping yet dear"
"when i dreamed i dreamed about sleeping"
"i went to havana to take a long nap"
"i'd stop the world and nap with you"
"crazy, crazy for feeling so tired"
"give to me your blanket, take from me my coffee"
"if you live through this with me i swear that i will take a long nap"
