A link to this was on amanda palmer's website. Have you seen it? Just in case you haven't, Quincey Jones is lobbying Obama to create a Secretary of the Arts postion. This is also based on the idea that many MANY countries as you know have such a position. I signed it, it would be so GREAT if this happened. Please sign and please spread the word.

I can think of four words which explain why this is a bad idea: Bush Department of Justice.

It's hard enough keeping the NEA alive under Republicans. Put it directly under the President and it becomes a political weapon.
