picked up the accordion - finally again after almost 2 1/2 weeks maybe even 3 omg of not playing. it felt good. my arm got sore fast but singing felt good and even with the mistakes it was nice. my back and chest muscles so ow ow ow with the coughing didn't like the extra work but it felt so good. and then i started coughing - oh nope wait that turned into choking, on air. like the kind of choking in a restaurant that gets people all heimliched. like standing up and then falling on the ground pounding the floor gasping for air like a fish gasping for water with big gulping taking air noises and still just coughing and not getting a breath and not able to even say the word inhaler just point and pound on the counter and almost vomiting from coughing so hard. it finally stopped. so scary. so shaky now. the cough keeps feeling like it is getting better and then when the attacks hit they are so much worse. sleeping on the couch last night so i could be upright. now this almost turning blue coughing not breathing one. it actually is really scary. i was thinking while i was not able to get breath if i was going to die on the floor of my living room from coughing and now very sad that would be. so much left i want to do. so that put the nail in the coffin for not going out to gypsy punk at amnesia tonight. heh - so to speak. now just trying to 'take it easy' and not aggravate the cough at all. hopefully tomorrow it will be ok for the couple of things to be doing.

That is NOT good, hon. Do you need a "sitter" or somebody to be around to call 911 for episodes like that?

rooster was home and came out of the office to help, get me the inhaler and stuff - it was just hella scary. and esp weird when it keeps feeling like i am getting better. like earlier i could yawn again and occasionally get a really full breath.

It was scary to read about, too - I've called 911 for an asthma attack once, and ended up hospitalized for a couple of days, but I could make that phone call! Your attack sounds like the sort of asthma that actually does kill people, and I really really don't want to see that happen to anybody I know...

again with the scary gasping for air! can you check with your doctor's office tomorrow...it doesn't seem right that you should generally be feeling better only to be almost-turning-blue when the attacks come.

i really hope they can do *something* to keep you more comfortable while this illness/episode subsides.

Yes please, Ms. Cindy. Moya is absolutely right...this doesn't seem normal at all. Will you call the doctor please? Even if just to appease your worried friends? xoxoxo
