sunday morning meme
Jun. 15th, 2008 10:00 amYou know how sometimes people on your friends list post about stuff going on in their lives, and all of a sudden you think, "Wait a minute? Since when are they working THERE? Since when are they dating HIM/HER? since when???" And then you wonder how you could have missed all that seemingly pretty standard information, but somehow you feel too ashamed to ask for clarification because it seems like info you should already know? It happens to all of us sometimes.
Please copy mine below, erase my answers, putting yours in their places, and then post the result in your journal. Please elaborate on the questions which would benefit from elaboration! One-word-answers seldom help anyone out.

9. List the 3-5 biggest things going on in your life:

10. What did you go to school for? I majored in english with minors in fllm study and queer studies. i now think it's hilarious that people say english degrees don't help you get jobs. all of my jobs so far have ended up being EXACTLY tied to what i studied just because i loved it. in part i blame my father. when i was a junior in college i had to give him a presentation (yes with print outs and slides) of how this degree would help me find jobs. since he was helping pay for school i went all out - since if he wasn't convinced the pressure to change my degree or move into the teaching program was going to be fierce. I think that made me take what i was studying and how it could translate to the real world more seriously.
11. Parents: they're living in a house in the town i grew up in. sadly not the one on the lake anymore.
12. Who are some of your closest friends? Rooster, Punk, and a nice inner circle of LJ folks who i am proud to consider family.
And there you have it! I am happy to answer questions should the above engender any.
