Get Your Can I Sit With You? Seattle Tickets While You Can

http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/30612

Tickets are priced at $5 and $12, which means you can choose how much to donate.

Will Call tickets is probably the best option at this point. We’ll have a list of Will Call names and will check them off at the door.

Also, we have some additional, fantastic news: Sarah Dopp will be joining our show! Welcome, Sarah.

To further entice you, here is the full list of CISWY Seattle readers, with links to the stories they will be performing:

Final note: children are welcome at the show. They are not allowed in the bar area of Annex Theatre, and you should read the stories above to make sure you know what said children will be hearing, but if you think they would enjoy seeing these stories read aloud, then please, get them a ticket.

Queer Open Mic is proud to welcome Thee Hobo Gobbelins to our humble stage. From deep within the confines of the city sewers, and the darkness beneath your bed, Thee Hobo Gobbellins slash and jangle their path into your skull. They weave a wickedly catchy mixture of ancient pirate curses, orcish vaudeville, and eldritch hobo semaphore.

The Hobo Gobbelins have emerged from the pulsing art vortex of Oakland, Ca., the green-skinned child of punk rock, avant-garde performance art and hobo soul. Drawing on a dizzying array of influences, the band incorporates traditional sounds of Americana and the Old World with the horrors of modernity. Monsters from folklore and fiction wriggle alongside freight-train spirituals and drinking songs. The result is a disturbing haunted house for the ear, a nightmare carnival that is at turns goofy and murderous. Human audiences drink more, dance better, and writhe uncontrollably to goblin beatings- er, beats. Incidentally, audience is the goblin word for “food that screams”.

**About Queer Open Mic**
Queer Open Mic is a twice monthly gathering of poets, performers, writers and artists of all types to come together and share art. Proto-feminist and genderqueer in scope, QOM aims to combine raunchy enthusiasm, warmth and community, unapologetic queer, radical politics and sweet rhythms to create a space for spoken word, poetry and performance that is multi cultural, multi gendered, completely inclusive and dynamic. QOM is hosted by Cindy Emch and Mollena Williams.
