Queer Open Mic is ready to ROCK OUT 2005 as we try to bring a heady blend of art, performance, and poetry to the caffeinated masses. The readings are meant for queers and allies of all stripes, colors, and affiliations to come together and share art, thoughts, conversations, passions and a damn good cuppa joe. All donations benefit the performers and The Center.
On January 28th revel in the revolutionary tag team antics of horehound stillpoint and Kate Alfieri. One poet will throw down a theme, and then the other throws it back. Sure to be a feisty phenomenon from writers who explore everything from pop culture jargon to the benefits of drinking urine… this is San Francisco at its pervy best!

Jan. 24th, 2005 02:57 pmi woke up last night
with severe pains to the chest
too half awake to know if the pain went down my arm or if i felt nauseous
just awake enough to feel the pain, breathe through it, and fall back asleep
and today
i have a pain on my skullface as if i got punched last night
not to mention that when i pulled the covers over
i elbowed the lady in the throat
now this does not seem like an ausipcious beginning to this week
i am a bit concerned
and the jackhammering street destruction that is shaking my desk and shaking my teeth certainly is not helping
ugh
