like so many others
line at my polling place for the first time ever
and I changed my supervisor choice at the VERY LAST MINUTE - hope I don't end up regretting that one

now for a day of keeping volunteers full of coffee
we have about 4 people upstair (since 8am!) who are calling LGBT folks in Ohio to remind them to vote
so far everyone they have called has been NICE NICE NICE and happy that we care enough to not make them feel alone out there in swing state land
(having lived in a swing for awhile - it really always felt like liberal was the minority, regardless of the actual numbers)

anyways
if anyone wants to come over to the queer community center and call folks for a while
there's free soda and coffee - just come to 1800 Market St @ Octavia and go to room 305
(please - we have about 6000 names total that we can call if we have enough people power)

good times

Hey Y'all
I am betting dollars to donuts that we see a whole mess of items like this, and yes it does sound vaguely form letter - but in the interests of helping even on person not lost their vote: FYI with a grain of salt

Here's an important heads up ...
Yesterday a friend voted early at a polling location
in Austin.
She voted straight Democratic. When she did the
final check,
lo and behold every vote was for the Democratic
candidates
except that it showed she had voted for
Bush/Cheney for
president/vice pres.
She immediately got a poll official. On her vote, it
was
corrected. She called the Travis County
Democratic
headquarters. They took all her information, and
told her that
she wasn't the first to report a similar incident and
that they are
looking into it.
So check before you leave the polling booth, and
if anything
is wrong, get it corrected immediately. Report any
irregularities to your local Democratic
headquarters.
Make sure you pass this along to your friends ...
hopefully
this is all over the airwaves by tomorrow ...
The Texas voting fraud is for real.I called the
Austin office
(Dem. Nat. Comm.) 512-637-1737 and they said
that it has
been happening a lot. They don't know why but the
machines
seem more "sensitive" this year andthat every
voter MUST
check their summary as the presidential choice
often rolls over
to the republican choice if you vote straight
democrat.
please repost!

can i just say

I LOVE LOVE LOVE it, when people from my past, my very random past, find my email online and write me
saying things like - are you the same cindy that...

it is so fucking cool

i am smiling like an idiot because an old high school friend
someone i really liked, but never spoke to after graduation
just emailed me, is queer, and wants my feedback on programming their film fests closing night film
how random
and how absolutely beautiful

i think that fate just throws things like this into the mix
to remind me of random happy on such a crazy uncertain sort of day
