hey all
i am home again - wahooooo!!!!!

spending some time catching up on all your entries
portland was wonderful
rainy
trees a turning
smelling like earthworms, thunderstorms and fall decay
absolutely what i needed

plus there was that whole being a guest and getting pampered thing
fun times

but i am so glad to be home

wow

unpacking - reading - y mind is spinning with the fact that this morning i was driving out of portland with Keri Coffee in my hand and now here i sit
back in my sf apt
my cats misbehaving, the dog sleeping, there are dishes to do, people to call and it just feels strange

strangely my first instinct was to go out and buy matching wooden hangers and something anything to make the closet less of an exploding cube of doom

two people who love clothes, one small closet, recipe for exploding box of doom truly

but i am just not sure
i feel very out of sorts
excited to be home and off of an air mattress
but like i have left a piece of me up north and i have to go back and get it

tomorrow morning we make zapatista coffee here in SF and it will remind me of the dear sweet keri
remind me of fresh chilly drippy rain on her porch and flowers and trees all huddling into themselves for warmth with spastic dogs wrestling and making out all morning while we dress to go for a hike
it will remind me of this new home
that i get to move back to
such a mixing of old and new

she hates it when i compare portland to michigan, but really, if she wants me to move there - it is the best path to success
