Jun. 25th, 2005 11:10 pman early nite home but it feels good. the dyke march was one of those things where i didn't get to see everyone i wanted for nearly long enough. and those i found to see and smile at i lost far too quickly. the sexy beast and i had some friend search opposition happening. and in trying to make both of us happy, lost about everyone that we had wanted to find. i think that happens sometimess.
the end result was actually the most fabulous. marching and dinner with rykaryka, the weetest gay waiters evah, one of whom was on hour 13 of his shift, but by the end of the night came over and told us his entire coming out story and why, even as tired as he was, he still loved pride. i was blessed by being around a lot of 'first prides' tonight and it felt super honoring.
now home, it appears that my phillipino family has not disowned me as previously assumed, but rose thought ellen invited us to the bbq and ellen thought that telling us it was happening was the same as inviting. comedy of errors, but it is official that we are a part of the extended family and are supposed to assume we are always welcome. yay.
some might say that i should now be out and about and being ridiculous. there were at least two parties for us to go to, super convenient and with lots of eye candy. but i am glad to be home. i am tired and happy and full of pride. and dammit i will get downtown in time to see dykes on bykes.
thank you my homos - we are good folks. proud to be a part of this family.
