i think my entire body is frozen
my toes are tiny pale popsicles that forgot how to thaw
my shoulders have taken up residence near my ears
and i can hear the dangerous thundering cracking of lake ice when i move my knees

i need some rain proof shoes
i should have been less stubborn and taken the offered umbrella
i need a rain coat
and an office with heat
yep that would be nice too
