i am sunburnt and happy
a coworker staked out a bbq @ baker beach at 730am
shockingly - when he did there were only 3 open bbqs left - wtf?!?!
so i got there with lucky around 1ish with lucky
drank ate drank ate drank ate
threw ball into ocean
dog fetched and swam
rinse repeat
later doppmonester showed up
later still rooster took the bus over
post film editing goodnessthey both ate some
then the bbq packed up around 830
we drove to buena vista
watched the boom boom and awesome commentary about the environmental impact of fireworks and the pretty sparkly that looked like porcupine butt and got given pbr by our boom boom neighbors

home sunburnt happy
who knew that a day hanging out mostly with my coworkers dad could be so freaking awesome
i think i love peoples dads

oh and postscript
i apparently got on a super eloquent soapbox about why baseball matters even to people who care not for sports
though honestly i have no idea what i said. something about class acess and ty cobb... the rest is a blur

Most events including dogs retrieving a thrown ball are excellent. In fact, if I'm stuck at a crappy party and there is somehow a dog I am saved.
